The First North American Shaolin Summit

Spirit Rising is proud to be a producer of the first Shaolin Summit ever held in North America — a first-of-its-kind gathering celebrating China's legendary Shaolin Temple and its 1,500-year influence on world culture. As the birthplace of Chan (Zen) Buddhism and the source of much of the martial arts practiced around the globe today, Shaolin embodies the same pursuit of inner peace, discipline and harmony that lives at the heart of our mission.

The landmark event featured a rare appearance by Shi Yongxin, the Abbot of the Shaolin Temple of China, alongside authentic Shaolin warrior monks demonstrating their extraordinary kung fu, a dialog with the Abbot, and panel discussions on meditation, martial arts and Shaolin's enduring cultural heritage. It was produced by the non-profit Shaolin Association of North America in association with the Shaolin Temple of China.
